Potato Foot and the Gripa Marrana

Five more minutes. 12 already? Please, I do not want to get up yet. What is that bright light? I did not turn on the light. Turn off, now. I did not turn you on. Oh. It's the noon sun. Sorry mister sun, didn't realize it was you. Ok, I'm up.

Now, let's see. What will I do today? I thinking I will do my usual nothing. Let's see. How long has it been since I took a shower. 3 days? Ok, I can go another few days till the next one. Let me go into town because I really feel like eating some cheesy saucy chips. Those are my favorites.

Hey, there aren't a lot of people out here. Something is going on. Usually, there is bunches of people moving around doing nothing. There's not even that. Ok, let me go get my chips and I will find out.

Ok, I see two people walking my way. That's funny. Why are they wearing blue masks? Ok, people that is not funny. I know that I didn't shower today but that's just plain rude. I will try to be nice so that they can take off their masks and not think I stink. Hi blue mask people. What did you call me? Did you just call me Gripa Marrana? That was just rude. I know that I might stink a little bit because I haven't showered and the deodorant doesn't really do much, but that was just not nice.

Ok, more blue mask people and now white mask people. Why are they trying to get away from me? I do not stink. Ok, maybe just a bit but not that bad. I'm being nice to you guys for you guys to be nice to me and like me. Why do you wear the masks around me? That just is not nice.

Let me ask this little blue mask lady if I really do stink that bad. Hello little blue mask lady. Do I really stink that bad? Why do you call me Gripa Marrana. That's not very nice. I do not smell like a pig with a flu. Oh I see. You are not calling me Gripa Marrana. You are telling me about the Gripa Marrana. So, that is why you wear the mask. Wonderful. I thought it was because people thought I stunk but instead it's just some deadly disease that everyone is afraid of. That is such great news.

Now I can be happy again. People still like me. It's the Gripa Marrana they don't like. I'm also glad that people are wearing the masks because I haven't taken a shower for a few days now. I hope this thing lasts a little longer because I really don't feel like taking a shower today or tomorrow. Gripa Marrana come if you must. I am not afraid of you. You are my best friend for the day, and at least till people aren't afraid of you anymore.
